Congratulations to Lisa Bursey of Cox’s Cove, who traded her toonie this week for $25,544 in the Treasure Chest Toonie Draw! 💰Lisa who was introduced to our fundraiser by her daughter Nicole, prepays and played lucky #9211 at Ks Konvenience in McIvers! Lisa is pictured with her husband Gary and granddaughter Rosie, along with Tammy Sheppard of Ks Konvenience who was on hand to present the big cheque. You can believe there was lots of excitement and still a bit of shock! Now that they have extra funds, Lisa plans to do some house repairs. We asked Rosie if her Nanny was going to share with her and what she was going to do with that big cheque. She said yes and she’s going to buy an ice cream 🍦😋

Thanks a bunch to the Stella Michel of 12 Months~12 Miracles who came to help us count and earn some funds for her cause. This is a local group that helps various initiatives in the area from fundraising for the Toy Drive, Block the Bus and most recently she teamed up with Michelle Payne for the Cause for Paws which is raising funds to complete the construction of the NL West SPCA New Shelter.
