When we first contacted Anthony he was on the road with his grandson Jaxon who was playing hockey in Grand Falls-Windsor. He thought it was a prank call You bet he was pretty happy when we actually showed up with the big cheque at the Deer Lake Orange Store where he plays his toonies most weeks. Anthony and his wife have been playing multiple numbers for the past few years to support our fundraiser. They are big believers of supporting local and like that Treasur e Chest Toonie Draw supports local community groups. They plan to tuck away most of the winnings but grandson Jaxon, who joined him for the photo, will be driving a shiny new dirt bike next week! He’s pretty excited!

As part of our community giving, at our count today we were joined by some lovely individuals from Humber United Church. They helped us with the count and received a donation!
