Help us send a big congratulations to John Davis from Deer Lake who has joined the Treasure Chest Toonie Draw winner’s circle! John takes home this weekโ€™s Jackpot of $11,815 with lucky toonie #2863. Lloyd Normore from BellaRae Variety (on the left) was on hand to help us deliver the big cheque!

John and his wife Donna have been playing Treasure Chest Toonie Draw since the beginning and they were super excited to win. Donna says there was more than one happy dance going on in Deer Lake on Wednesday. They play multiple numbers with Donnaโ€™s sister and her husband so both families will be enjoying this jackpot. The Davisโ€™ plan to visit their grandchildren in Alberta with their share. As well every year they save money and use it to support several families for Christmas, so a portion of their winnings will also go towards that.

As part of our community giving, today we were joined by volunteers from the Epiphany ACW from McIvers. They received a donation from the Treasure Chest Toonie Draw to help with their fundraising efforts which are used to pay for the cost of up-keeping the local church.

Congratulations to Walter Butler of Benoits Cove! Walter has faithfully played lucky #51 at Jay Bees since the first week of our fundraiser! The $3384 he won couldn't have come at a better time and will take care of medical travel to St. John's for his child. Johnathan, one of the owners of Jay Bees was on hand to present Walter with the big cheque!
